Woke at 3am and 5:30am again this morning. Vick managed to sleep through to nearly 7am. The weather in Crescent City reflected our view of the city itself - dull and overcast. The mist was still hanging around.

We had a pretty good night’s sleep and we woke up to the sound of the Pacific Ocean crashing on the rocks below our room. Although noisy it’s such a peaceful sound!

Woke at 3am and 5am this morning. We stayed up until almost 10pm watching the US Open tennis - Agassi beating Baghdatis in the last set.

A better night’s sleep was had by all - we are slowly dealing with the jet lag. This morning we grabbed an early breakfast and then were on the road by 6:20am, missing most of the rush hour traffic, headed for the border and then on to Seattle.

We hit the sack at around 9:30pm last night and unsurprisingly woke dead early this morning - just after 3am. We both fought it a little but in the end got up and checked email etc.
