I was very pleased to find a very accommodating check in agent at the Hilton Garden Inn (HGI). My suite wasn't available but she found a very nice partial ocean view room on the 19th floor for me.

I occupied my room at the LAX Hilton for about 4 hours I think. In that time I was in bed for about 3 hours and asleep for about 30 mins. Not impressive after 29 hours of travelling.

The first segment of our trip back to Las Vegas was a 2-hour stint on the road to Barstow along the CA-58E and a few miles along the I15.
